Updated notes about Cintiq stations (those that are the new purchases): Mr. Poorte, our Tech Facilitator, has been working tirelessly since the Cintiqs arrived on Thursday of last week to get them all installed and working, and we appreciate it. The latest information about the situation is this: we are still struggling with resolving the issue of our new Cintiqs. The district technology people are involved now, so we are hopeful that it will be resolved soon. If you have a yellow sticky on your computer, it is out of order for now.

Cintiq Q&A: What do the buttons on the Cintiqs do, anyway? For the 22HD (the newer, wider Cintiqs) you only need to press the i (or information) button on the top right of the Cintiq. You will see a screen that defines what each button's function is...for the 21UX (the older, narrower Cintiqs) you simply touch the upper left button to get the same information.

Wrapping up Boot Camp! This is all video content that is from I have made a playlist of intermediate level information that will be helpful to you as you continue to learn what we have left to cover in Photoshop. In a day or so, you will begin to have daily exercises or "projects" from the things that are covered in this list. Here is the link to access the playlist. Watch during class at your own pace!

  • Complete your infographic and turn in by Friday.
  • Stand up run-through of your presentation today during class. I need to see each group today with the presentation on laptop in conference room. One group needs to go at the top of the hour (10:00 or 2:00) and the other group right after them. Bring your slideshow and your slide advancer person with you into the conference room.
  • We will do final presentations on Wednesday, March 1
Practicum: Continue with portfolio prep - the next review will begin right after Spring Break. I should expect to see new work being displayed and some old work displaced...

CONGRATS to AM first year student, Cienna for acceptance into School of Visual Arts in NYC! We have had advanced student Sophie accepted into School of the Art Institute of Chicago AND California College of the Arts as well.
